So I wasn't actively seeking to adopt a new girl but happened to spy, on Flickr, pictures of Prairie Posie. Usually when I happen across a girl I like, she ends up being a limited, and well out of my price range. A quick search on THAT online auction site, however, revealed she's actually one of the most affordable girls out there right now! What's an insane dolly loving woman to do? Well... get her wallet out of course!
So hopefully arriving very soon... Prairie...

I got the pattern for the cupcake dress from the blog 'Janel Was Here'
The swimsuit pattern I figured out myself by looking at a Ba...

Recently I had a mishap with one of my favourite Tidgy Dolls, Sheila. I took her out for the day and popped her in my purse 'to keep her safe' only to find the dark lining had stained her face terribly ![]()

So I ordered some doll stain re...

Do you sometimes get the overwhelming urge for a new doll and you simply can't shake it off?
That's just how I felt the other day so I dangerously got to browsing THAT famous auction site, you know, the one doll collectors should avoid at all costs unless they want to be permanently broke.
I entered a search to see what Pullips were on offer and instead found these...Tangkou dolls.

Bliss and I wanted to try something a little different so we had a session of millinery (that's hat making to you and I).
As you can see the results look a little oversized, I think I did actually use the term 'All hat and no knickers' to Bliss, but she seemd unphased...

Do you think she looks a little film noir?

I posted on Facebook recently that my The Littles 'Daphne' doll (who I call 'Sheila') had sustained severe staining to her face recently from contact with the dark lining of my purse (I actually put her in the purse to keep her safe, how dumb am I!?)
I've ordered some doll stain remover from Retrodolls so we'll see if she can be fixed. In the meantime I decided to adopt another Littles daughter, commercially known as ...

Today Sheila (My Mattel 'The Littles' doll) and I have mostly been mostly making tiny dresses!
Quite a feat as she is only two and a half inches tall!

The Thinking Doll is pleased to introduce our new mascot, now to be seen adorning the website header.
Her name is 'Pansy' which, as well as being the name of a flower, also means 'thought' so seemed appropriate to represent 'The Thinking Doll'!
She is a Mattel Liddle Kiddle 'Tracy Trikediddle' from between 1968 and 1970, which makes her even older than I am (though she has aged better!)
She is very excited about her new job as dolly ambassador and looks forward to making man...
