The doll I rerooted is the one in the middle...
Abd, thanks to www.reotrodolls.co.uk and their nylon 'Daydream' hair here is the after shot...

I've decided that it has been quite long enough since I last ran a giveaway on the site, so up for grabs is this pretty vintage Italian souvenir doll. This glamorous doll is still sealed inside her original box which features some lovely retro illustrations.

Recently I had a mishap with one of my favourite Tidgy Dolls, Sheila. I took her out for the day and popped her in my purse 'to keep her safe' only to find the dark lining had stained her face terribly

Look what I found on a Cat's Protection League charity stall at the weekend. This adorable (if rather dirty) little Kid Kore doll from the early 90s.
She needs a bit of a bath but her conscience is clean since she helped raise funds to help all those little kitties ^-^...
She se...Read Full Post »

Today I am all about the Victorians. I'm a bit of a Victorian buff actually, I love Victorian novels, watching The Victorian Farm and Victorian Pharmacy on tv, and recently bought some Victorian style clothing pattenrns to make for myself (my first attempt at actual human size (or 1:1 scale) sewing!).
Last night we went to see the latest screen adaptation of my favourite book of all time 'Jane Eyre'. It was rather good and made me want to re-read my Victorian favourites (I w...Read Full Post »

We just got back from a family holiday in our favourite place. Whitby.
St Mary's church is a beautiful church right on the clifftops of Whitby and the churchyard is even one of the locations which appears in the original Bram Stoker novel, Dracula!
I managed to snap some entirely less scary pics of dolls featured in an exhibition of childrens items inside the church however
